Experienced a well-organized setup followed by a disappointing task shadowing experience. I have extensive experience setting up MP2 systems with and without shadows. If you are facing any issues, please let me know. Visit www.assetsystemsolutions.com for more information.

By selecting the "Preview Work Orders before release" option in the Generate Work Orders dialog box, you can override task shadowing. For more information, visit flemingtechnical.com. - Donal Fleming

Do you organize your tasks using Fixed, Floating, or Duplicates scheduling methods? The Fixed option is recommended for stability, as tasks set as Floating or Duplicates may shift or replicate over time.

I'm wondering if this solution is compatible with fixed data that doesn't have duplicates. I plan on testing it out tomorrow, as I've been dealing with various issues for a while now. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with others.

Hi Porter, Please note that the shadowing feature is disabled when previewing work orders during generation. This design choice is intentional. - Jennifer

Absolutely, Porter. I remember one specific instance at my previous job where I was excited about job shadowing a senior executive position, knowing it was a fantastic opportunity to learn significant insights. After all the initial hype, it never actually materialized due to various internal organizational changes. It turned out the executive was relocated, and no alternative arrangements were made for my task shadowing. Although it was a disappointing situation, it reminded me of the need to always have a backup plan and be adaptable to ever-changing professional situations.

Hey Porter, I’ve definitely experienced that! We had a project where everything seemed perfectly aligned—great team, clear objectives, and solid initial feedback from stakeholders. But as we progressed, I noticed that instead of collaborating, team members started pulling in different directions due to miscommunication about roles and expectations. It was frustrating to see such promise fizzle out because we didn’t have that crucial alignment. It taught me the importance of continuous check-ins and clarity throughout the process, rather than assuming everyone was on the same page.

Hi Porter! I had a similar experience where we had a team really excited about a new project, with great initial momentum and collaboration. However, as we dived deeper, we encountered misaligned priorities and communication breakdowns between departments. This caused delays and led to some key members feeling discouraged, ultimately resulting in the project's potential being overshadowed by missed deadlines and frustration. It was a tough lesson on the importance of maintaining clear communication and alignment throughout the process!
