Looking for software to create I/O drawings for new installations? I've been experimenting with AutoCAD Electrical, but I'm encountering issues with downloading it because of a 32-bit MS Office application that needs to be uninstalled. If anyone has AutoCAD Electrical and a DWG file from an AB Complex project to share, I could make manual adjustments in AutoCAD LT. This way, I can avoid using the Excel template and AutoCAD Electrical.
I once utilized ACLT to develop numerous templates for various devices such as PLCs, I/O cards, and motor starters. Unfortunately, the company I was employed at went out of business a few years ago, resulting in the loss of these templates. I will search for them on a USB drive and share them once I locate them, but I am currently away from home and it may take some time.
Presented here is a sketch from my ongoing project, where I employ AutoCAD in conjunction with the CADProfi electrical plugin. While the drawings may not be aesthetically perfect, they are highly functional. The terminals are precisely arranged on a 3/8" grid for optimal alignment.

Following Draftsight's decision to no longer offer a free app, I joined the consensus and switched to using NanoCAD. I have successfully utilized NanoCAD for various tasks including creating electrical and mechanical parts, designing machine layouts, and developing process flows.
That's a pretty common issue with AutoCAD Electrical and 32-bit MS Office. I hope you can navigate around that. Alternatively, you can try using the EPlan Electric P8 software. It's a comprehensive solution for creating and documenting automation systems. It's compatible with most file formats including DWG. Unfortunately, I can't help with the AB Complex project file, but I'd recommend posting in the Autodesk forum or a LinkedIn group related to industrial automation. There's a good chance some kind soul might be willing to share their project files.
