The updated forum design is fantastic! However, I encountered an unexpected issue when it informed me that my password, which had been saved and unchanged for 14 years, was incorrect. I was required to update my password in order to successfully log in after the recent updates.

The updated forum design is fantastic, but I encountered a strange issue when my previously saved password, unchanged for over a decade, was suddenly deemed incorrect. I ended up having to reset my password in order to successfully log in after the site update. It seems like others have experienced the same issue as well.

According to Strantor, I recently had to update my password in order to log in successfully following a system update. It seems that if you haven't updated your password in a while, the system will prompt you to make a change for security reasons.

I am a fan of the moderation dialog, as it conveniently provides all the options in one place, streamlining the process of dealing with obvious spammers. The email notifications are also useful, although the clickable link at the top could be made more visible. Kudos to Phil for his excellent work on maintaining this BBS format, which prioritizes function over style and flashiness like the SalesForce template. It is much appreciated that he has chosen to stick with a format that caters to user needs. (AB site, for instance)

I have a suggestion for you: consider limiting the size of the signature field to a few lines or a specific height to ensure it doesn't disrupt the flow of the content. While I can always disable them, finding a middle ground would be ideal for user experience.

Today, I visited the website after a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised by its modern appearance. The updated controls and visuals instantly transported me to the present day, feeling like a switch from the outdated WinForms to the sleek WPF or transitioning from the RSLogix to TwinCAT world. Leaving the smart-alecky comments behind, I must say, great job on the website's revamped look!

Kudos on successfully migrating all the content from the previous forum. Despite my message box being almost full, all my old messages are still intact. The familiar appearance of the site has made it easy for me to navigate, and the overall website functionality is seamless. Well done, Phil!

I propose adding a header button for easy navigation to the live Q&A section, similar to the one illustrated in my provided mockup. This feature would enhance the user experience by allowing quick access to the Q&A session.

This update to the forum brings about a significant improvement! I'm curious to know if it's possible to maintain a constant width for the text column even when zooming out. In the previous version of the forum, the width would adjust dynamically, allowing for more content to fit on the screen. This was a highly valued feature that seems to be missing now. I have attached two images for reference, one at normal zoom and the other at a higher zoom level, showcasing the increased whitespace.

In response to OkiePC's suggestion, could we possibly include a header button for easy access to the live Q&A, similar to the mockup provided? I appreciate the input! I see the benefit of this feature, but adding a tab may cause issues with the mobile view pull-down menu. I will explore options to make the button visible only on screens wider than a certain size to avoid this issue. I will need to experiment with this idea when I have some time.

I have observed that both clicking on the Home tab and clicking on the Forums tab (not the drop-down arrow) lead to the same page. Perhaps the Forums button could be redirected to the Live Q&A section for better user experience.

Perhaps the Forums button could be changed to direct users to a Live Q&A page instead? It might also be beneficial to allow users to customize the destination of the "Home" button. However, there seems to be a limit to how wide the design will stretch, potentially around 980 pixels.

Hey Phil, I also have a large monitor that maxes out at 1180 pixels wide. While the Header expands properly, the rest of the content remains the same size.

Is there a way to make this limit infinite for all practical purposes?"

PreLC questioned if the 'x' value could be changed to infinity. After researching worldwide desktop screen resolution stats, it was found that 1920 pixels wide was the most common. The forum has been adjusted to a width of 1366 pixels, striking a compromise between the two extremes. This change was made from the previous width of 1200 pixels.
