Subject: Assistance Needed for Wiring Safety I/O (6ES7526-1BH00-AB0) Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well! I have a question regarding the wiring of the safety I/O module (6ES7526-1BH00-AB0) and would greatly appreciate your expertise. I've attached two diagrams for your reference. In my understanding, the wiring for the E-stops and safety doors should be set up as shown in Attachment 2. Additionally, I’m wondering if I can connect only the safety outputs (1) for the safety doors. I’ve included Attachment 1 for clarity. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Best regards, Sam
Important Safety Note! Whether this applies to all safety modules or is specific to the ET200 safety modules, I learned this lesson the hard way and it has stayed with me. Each input has a corresponding pair, and it’s crucial to note that it's not always the next sequential input. For instance, if you connect an emergency stop (e/stop) to CH0, the other channel must link to its designated matching input, which will definitely not be CH1. In the 8-channel modules I worked with, the correct wiring configuration is as follows: - Input 0 connects to Input 4 - Input 1 connects to Input 5 - Input 2 connects to Input 6 - Input 3 connects to Input 7 While this may not address your immediate inquiry, it could potentially save you from the hassle of rewiring an entire panel like I had to endure. Always double-check your connections to ensure safety and functionality!
