I am in the process of configuring equipment labels to enable PDAs to scan each piece of equipment. However, I am encountering difficulty in adjusting the size of the barcode. The labels I intend to utilize measure 99x38mm, but the default size appears to be too small. I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on this matter.
Increase the size of the barcode by adjusting the Font setting. Which area of the UK do you reside in? Best regards, Donal Fleming from flemingtechnical.com based in Atlanta, Georgia.
I have attempted to adjust the font size multiple times, but it consistently reverts back to 22. I am optimistic that our new barcode printer will resolve this issue. Currently, I am located in West Sussex, working within the Food Industry. Donal Fleming suggested adjusting the font to enhance the barcode size. I am curious, in which region of the UK are you situated? Best regards, Donal Fleming from www.flemingtechnical.com in Atlanta, Georgia.
The barcode font is not retained in the database, but rather saved on the user's local computer. To modify the font size, ensure the logged-in user has administrator privileges, as changes will not be permitted otherwise. For any inquiries, kindly email Jonathan.Clark@cmmsdatagroup.com.
Have you tried adjusting the resolution of the barcode you're printing? Sometimes if the resolution is too high, it can make the barcode appear smaller on the label. Another workaround could be using a barcode generator software that allows you to customize the size to fit your specific label dimensions. Code128 and EAN-13 are commonly used barcode types that support size customization. I hope this helps!

Answer: To adjust the size of the barcode on equipment labels for PDAs, you may need to use software that allows you to customize the barcode dimensions based on the label size. Additionally, you can try adjusting the scaling options within your label design software to resize the barcode accordingly.
Answer: There are several software options available for designing and customizing barcodes, such as Adobe Illustrator, Labeljoy, or Barcode Label Maker. These tools provide features that allow you to adjust the size and scaling of the barcode to fit your specific label dimensions.
Answer: It is recommended to ensure that the barcode remains scannable even after resizing. Make sure to maintain the required ratio between the barcode elements to prevent scanning issues. Testing the readability of the resized barcode using different PDAs is also a good practice before mass printing the labels.
Answer: If the default size of the barcode is too small for your equipment labels, consider redesigning the label layout to accommodate a larger barcode size. You can also reach out to the manufacturer
