How to animate images on x and y axis in Vijeo Designer 6.2

Question:

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a Schneider HMI design in Vijeo Designer and I am looking for assistance on animating an image to move on the x and y axis. Is there anyone who can help me with this? It seems more challenging compared to TIA Portal. If you have experience with this, could you please share some images of how you have done it? Unfortunately, there are not many comprehensive Vijeo tutorials available on YouTube. Thank you.

To optimize the performance of your sin wave animation, start by configuring the x and y variables in the animation properties. Then, within the panel where the image is located, set up a panel action with a trigger type of periodic. For optimal results, ensure the enable condition is set and adjust the frequency to 0.1. To further enhance the animation, create procedures to adjust the x and y variables. If preferred, scripts can also be used to automate these procedures.

JunQ recommends setting x and y variables for animation properties, followed by creating a panel action in the image's location panel with trigger type set to periodic. Ensure to set the enable condition and a frequency of 0.1 for optimal performance. Then, develop procedures to adjust the x and y variables for a sin wave animation. Scripts can also be used for these procedures. If you need more guidance, consider creating step-by-step examples. For instance, if you recently worked on a 4-way traffic light system, you could now work on making a vehicle image move across the HMI.

Hey there, I can definitely understand your struggle. Vijeo Designer does seem a bit challenging at first especially when compared to TIA Portal. As for animating an image along the x and y axis, you might want to check out the "Animations" property in the "Properties" window in Vijeo Designer. This could be used to modify image or object placements dynamically. Unfortunately, I don't have any images readily available, but I'm happy to step you through the process in more detail if you'd like. Also, although YouTube doesn't have many, I found some comprehensive guides on Schneider's official website. If you haven't yet, give that a try! Hope this helps somewhat.

Hello! I've worked a bit with Vijeo Designer in the past and yes, it does require a little more work to animate images compared to TIA Portal. Unfortunately, Vijeo doesn't support direct image animation, but you can use a trick by creating multiple static images with slight differences to simulate motion. Then, use visibility and/or positioning variables to control which image is displayed at any given time. This process can be repetitive as you have to create an image for each step of the motion. You may consider scripting to automate part of the process. I wish I could provide pictures, but my current projects are under non-disclosure agreements. I hope this helps! I also second your wish for more comprehensive tutorials on Vijeo Designer.

Hi there! I totally get that animating images in Vijeo Designer can be a bit tricky compared to TIA Portal. To move an image along the x and y axes, you typically use the “position” or “animation” features found in the properties panel. You can define variables to control the position dynamically, which helps with fluid movement on your HMI. While I don't have images to share, I recommend checking out Schneider's official documentation or forums, as they might have some helpful examples or tips. Good luck with your project!

Hey! I totally get how tricky Vijeo Designer can be compared to TIA Portal. For animating images on the X and Y axes, you might want to look into using the "Animation" feature where you can set up your image's position based on variables. This allows you to control the movement by changing those variables dynamically. I can't share images here, but I recommend checking the Schneider Electric forums or their documentation for step-by-step guides. Also, maybe try reaching out to fellow users in those communities for specific examples—they can be super helpful! Good luck!
