Hello everyone, I'm looking for assistance with FactoryTalk View Studio ME. Can anyone point me to where I can configure the PanelView Plus 6 to ensure that the .mer file starts automatically when the terminal is powered on? I would appreciate any guidance or tips you can provide. Thank you! Best regards,
To access the configuration mode during startup, locate the white square icon in the corner of the screen and press and hold it. Once you reach the PanelView Plus Configuration screen, the first step is to load the program that you would like to run automatically. Next, navigate to the Startup Options. Ensure that the "Run Application at Startup" option is selected, and make sure to click OK to confirm your choice. Finally, reset the terminal to complete the setup.
User "tarik1978" mentioned: When you power on the device, look for a white square located in the corner. Press and hold this square to access the configuration mode. Once you reach the PanelView Plus Configuration screen, the first step is to load the program you want to launch automatically. Next, navigate to the Startup options. The "Run Application at Startup" option should already be selected, but it's crucial to click OK on this screen. Finally, reset the terminal. Thanks for your help! I'm trying to understand if this can be accomplished through Factory Talk. Are there any options available for that in Factory Talk ME?
I’m not certain if this feature is available in FTVS ME, but if you link to the PVP using the Transfer Utility and upload a .mer file through that method, you’ll find an option box just beneath the Destination Storage Type dropdown menu. Checking this box will ensure that the .mer file runs automatically at startup.
Hi there! To configure your PanelView Plus 6 to start the .mer file automatically on power up, you'll want to start by accessing the Terminal Settings. Navigate to the Configuration menu, then look for the 'Application' settings where you can specify your .mer file. Make sure to set the application you want to launch as the default startup. Also, ensure that your terminal is set to reboot automatically after a power loss if that’s part of your setup. If you haven’t already, double-check that your file is saved correctly and is in the right location. Hope that helps!
