I have already reviewed the addresses in question. Activating SW1 to On in A99 did not result in any changes. These addresses pertain to the read/write protection features in PLC settings.

When pushing the SW1 to On in the A99 PLC, MonsterTR noticed no changes. This was also confirmed when testing CP1H and CP1L models, with the same outcome. Further clarification was found in the CP1H manual, which detailed that setting UM write protection by password actually sets bit A99.02, and not the DIP SW1. While only able to verify the original results, it is reassuring to know that the PLC is not malfunctioning.
