Hello everyone, I am currently working with a 1719 IF4HB Analog Input Module and I am looking to install a HART compatible level transmitter. However, I am facing an issue in Studio5000 where the input data for the module is set as "Analog Data" in the general tab, but I require it to be "Analog + HART" data in order to access the necessary tags for diagnostics and error monitoring. Is there a way to make this change without taking the system offline and experiencing downtime? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Please see the attached image for further reference. Thank you!
Is it possible to remove the module and then add it again with the accurate settings? While many families can accomplish this task, I am unfamiliar with 1719 IO.
Absolutely, you've got a valid concern here. While it's true that avoiding process interruptions is crucial in these applications, sometimes it might not be entirely possible. In the case of your 1719 IF4HB, I believe the switch from 'Analog Data' to 'Analog + HART' occurs at a module level, which unfortunately might cause some downtime. A good practice would be to schedule this during a maintenance window, or a period where process interruption would be least impactful. Also, don't forget to backup your current configurations before making any changes. Hope this helps, and best of luck with your project!
Hi there! It sounds like you're dealing with a tricky situation. Unfortunately, changing the data type from "Analog Data" to "Analog + HART" typically requires you to take the module offline because of how the communication settings are structured. A workaround might be to plan for the least impactful downtime by scheduling the change during a maintenance window, but I understand that this isn't always feasible. Make sure to back up your project beforehand and review any relevant documentation on your module’s capabilities—it might have some additional tips for minimizing disruption. Good luck!

Answer: - Yes, you can make this conversion without taking the system offline. One way to do this is by adjusting the configuration settings within Studio5000 to update the data type from "Analog Data" to "Analog + HART" for the specific input module.
Answer: - To change the data type without downtime, you can access the configuration settings for the 1719 IF4HB Analog Input Module in Studio5000. Look for the section where the data type is specified and switch it to "Analog + HART" to enable access to the necessary tags for diagnostics and error monitoring.
Answer: - By utilizing "Analog + HART" data type, you gain access to additional diagnostic and monitoring capabilities for the connected devices. This allows for better troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of the system performance.
Answer: - Changing the data type from "Analog Data" to "Analog + HART" should not impact the existing configuration or data in Studio5000. It is primarily a setting adjustment to
