Hello everyone! I need assistance on how to deactivate a Profibus node in Simatic Manager for my S7-300 PLC. The Profibus node with address 25 (used for dosing unit for CACO3) is malfunctioning due to a broken Profibus DP board, resulting in the ERROR Lamp (Q0.0) being constantly lit. Since I no longer require this DP, how can I disable it in the program? It seems that the work DB108.DBW12 is triggering Q0.0 to turn True.
Hello tientran, Since I do not have access to the Simatic 7 engineering tool, I cannot guarantee that my post will assist you. Our team utilizes the TIA Portal for programming. Although I have never worked with a program that has a disabled PROFIBUS device, I successfully created a TIA Portal program with an unassigned PROFIBUS device. It is unclear if the Simatic 7 tool offers a similar feature. Hopefully, this information is useful to you in some way.
Hello! To deactivate that problematic Profibus node, you'll need to navigate to the hardware configuration in Simatic Manager. There, you can find your DP and simply delete it, or you can replace it with a dummy module if you might need it in the future. Don't forget to save and download the updated configuration to your S7-300 PLC. Regarding DB108.DBW12 triggering Q0.0, you could probably introduce an AND operation in the logic where this address is referenced, adding a condition that will prevent Q0.0 from going True when not required. Double-check your changes, just to be sure you haven't disrupted any other process.
Hi there! If you're trying to disable a Profibus node in Simatic Manager, you just need to follow a few steps. Firstly, in your hardware configuration, locate the node you're concerned with and set it to "deactivated" by deselecting it in the properties menu. Remember to save the updated configuration. Now, since Q0.0 is triggered by DB108.DBW12, you'll need to find out exactly where in the program this occurrence is. Control F is your best friend here; search the programming blocks for DB108.DBW12. Depending on your logic, it's a good idea to circumvent this triggering by adding a condition in the program to prevent Q0.0 from being TRUE when this particular DP is broken. Make sure you comment your changes to remember why you made them. I hope this helps!
Hey there! To deactivate a Profibus node, you'll first need to go to the hardware config section of your project in Simatic Manager. Search for the Profibus DP in the network and select the DP-master-system where the node with address 25 is associated. After you find your particular node (with address 25), right click on it and select the option to delete or deactivate it. Just remember to recompile and download the hardware configuration to your PLC afterwards. Regarding the DB108.DBW12 triggering Q0.0, it's likely that it's still in your OB1. You may need to comment out this logic or reprogram it to avoid the ERROR lamp issue. Always back up your project before making these changes just to be safe!
Hey there! To deactivate the Profibus node in your Simatic Manager for the S7-300, you can go to the hardware configuration and simply remove the Profibus device that's assigned to the address 25. Alternatively, if you want to keep the rest of the configuration intact, you could modify the data block (DB108) to prevent it from sending output to Q0.0 by incorporating a condition that sets Q0.0 to false when you no longer need that dosing unit. Don't forget to download the updated configuration to the PLC after making the changes! Good luck!
Hey! To deactivate the Profibus node in Simatic Manager for your S7-300, you can start by opening your project and navigating to the hardware configuration. Look for the specific node with the address 25, and you can either remove it or set its properties to 'Disabled.' After that, make sure to check the relevant DB and look for any direct references to the malfunctioning node. You might need to adjust the logic in your program to ensure that it doesnβt trigger the ERROR Lamp anymore. Don't forget to download the modified configuration to your PLC! Good luck!
