As a newcomer to PLCs and related technologies, I appreciate your understanding if I express my thoughts awkwardly. Currently, I'm utilizing a FactoryTalk View SE display that retrieves and showcases data from the Material Server. At present, I've set it up to refresh upon button presses, which functions as intended. However, I aim to enhance the user experience by enabling the display to automatically refresh in the background every 30 seconds. Unfortunately, Iām struggling to implement this feature. My attempts using VBA have caused the entire display to freeze while the code is executing. Can anyone suggest a solution or best practices for achieving this automatic data refresh?

Answer: - Utilize the software's built-in periodic event features to schedule regular refresh intervals. - Avoid using heavy scripts or actions that run on the main UI thread, thereby preventing UI freezes. - Test the refresh functionality to ensure it doesn't impact system performance adversely.
