Hello everyone, I recently started a new job where I will be using Twincat3 instead of TIA. I quickly noticed that I miss the highlight of selected variable feature and began looking for a similar tool in Twincat3. Today, I came across a potential solution on the Visual Studio marketplace, but unfortunately, I am unable to get it to work. Is there a way to achieve this feature or something similar, or do I need to simply adjust to this new situation? Any insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I may not be well-versed in TIA, but it seems that the Global Search feature is what you're looking for. This tool effectively searches and highlights all instances of a typed word. My mistake, the Global Search was present in TC2, while in TC3 it is now known as the Find and Replace function. You can find more information about this feature on the Beckhoff website.
Thank you for responding, however, the solution provided is not what I am seeking. If you click on the link and view the demonstration of the visual studies extension, that is precisely the functionality I am interested in. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Twincat 3. I attempted to include the image in the original post but was unsuccessful, so I have shared it here instead.
