Hello everyone! Thanks to the guidance provided by Ajit Shinde on our forum, I have successfully installed and configured our RptSvr. I am now able to create new reports, extract data from Oracle, and format it as needed. However, I have encountered an issue when trying to save my customized reports to the consumer reports_82 or basic reports_82 folder. An error message stating "You do not have permission to update or delete the object /Public Folders/consumer reports_82 or a related object" with error ID: CM-REQ-4012 is displayed. I have enabled Webdav functionality for my Apache web server by uncommenting two dav lines, but the issue persists. Any assistance on how to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support. Best regards, TrongNH
Hello trongnh, Please note that Infor EAM does not permit the addition or modification of reports in the EAM consumer/basic folder without the purchase of author licenses. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me at ajith.shinde@bwir.com. Thank you and best regards, Ajit Shinde Senior Consultant at www.bwir.com
Hi TrongNH, it seems like the issue you're experiencing is related to access permission. Error CM-REQ-4012 is usually an indication of an insufficient privilege to perform a certain action on an object. One quick solution could be to check with your system administrator to ensure you have the appropriate access rights for your tasks. If you do have these rights already, you may want to look into your BI server's configuration. Specifically, verify if your user role is properly set there. Hope this helps!
Hi TrongNH! Congrats on getting RptSvr up and running; it's a great tool. I have encountered this sort of error before and it's typically related to Cognos permissions. Error ID: CM-REQ-4012 is often associated with Access Manager security. I'd suggest verifying whether the account you're using has the necessary rights to write in these folders. If you're an administrator, you might also check the permissions set for other users. If you can't fix it yourself, it's worth reaching out to your IT security team or Cognos admin. Hope that helps!
Hey TrongNH, it sounds like you're dealing with a classic permissions issue. The error ID: CM-REQ-4012 is usually returned when an unauthorized or restricted user attempts to update or delete an object. You might want to check the access rights of your user account - perhaps it does not have the necessary permissions to write to the specific folders. Try using a higher-level or administrative account if possible and see if that works. Alternatively, look into modifying the folder permissions to provide necessary rights to your user account. Be sure to follow best practices for adjusting permissions to not open up any security vulnerabilities.

Answer: If enabling Webdav did not resolve the permissions error, you may need to further investigate the permissions settings within the RptSvr system.
