I have a couple of inquiries: 1. Is there a feature in MEscope VES software that allows for drawing equipment to scale accurately? 2. Can animations in the movie depict varying levels of vibrations realistically? Any assistance on making the movie appear more authentic would be highly valued. Thank you in advance!
MEscope allows you to draw to scale in any unit of measurement that you prefer. You also have the option to add skins to models for a more detailed appearance. Check out their website for more information on this feature. However, some may find this process to be too complex. Hopefully, this information was helpful to you. Regards, Gerard.
When setting units for Force, Mass, and Length in ME'scope, navigate to the UNITS tab under FILE and STRUCTURE OPTIONS. Don't forget to save your selections by clicking the "Save as Default" button. You can create your structure by importing photographs or using third-party Photo Realistic Modeling software. Personally, I prefer the drawing assistant program within ME'scope for creating structure models. Attached is a recent structure drawing from an exhaust fan project. Regarding ODS and Modal animation, these tools amplify machine motion for in-depth study and analysis. Even a well-functioning machine can appear exaggerated in ODS/Modal software animations. To reduce motion, adjust the animation scaling factor from the default "20." Compare two animations simultaneously or overlaid in ME'scope for a more direct analysis, useful for evaluating machines or conditions before and after modifications. Both animations share the same scaling factor when played together. Attached is a movie showcasing a side-by-side comparison before and after modifications for your reference. Feel free to reach out for further assistance.
Thank you, Tony! Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated.
Yes, you are able to draw your equipment to scale quite accurately using the 3D modeling feature in ME'scope VES software. This feature allows you to create a precise visual representation of your equipment. As for the animations, while they are designed to give you a generalized idea of the vibration levels, the degree of realism can vary. The best way I've found to give the movie a more authentic feel is to match the animation speed as closely as possible to the actual vibration speed of the equipment under scrutiny. Also, remember that the color coding feature can help showcase vibration severity quite well.
