Is It Possible to Split a PT100 Temperature Probe Signal for Dual Use?

Question:

Hello everyone! I'm curious to know if it's feasible to split the signal from a PT100 temperature probe. I currently have a PT100 connected to a controller, but I'm interested in tapping into the signal to send it to a PLC as well. Is this possible? Thank you!

Check whether the controller supports retransmission, or consider utilizing a signal conditioner to transmit signals to both devices. You may be able to operate a 4-20mA loop through both the PLC and the controller effectively.

Position two PT100 temperature sensors side by side.

Absolutely! This double sensor is conveniently housed in a single unit. Additionally, you have the option to utilize a 4-20 mA converter, allowing this signal to be transmitted serially from the controller to the data logger.
