Preparing for Modal Analysis in MeScope: Model Construction, Data Gathering, and Reference Block Creation

Question:

Our initial attempt at modal analysis using Me'Scope is imminent. We have already constructed the model and will soon start gathering data. To ensure accuracy, we have created a reference block to visually guide us in applying the correct positive and negative signs to the collected data, as well as to verify that we are measuring along the correct axis (x, y, z). Any additional tips for beginners? We are preparing for official training this winter or upcoming spring to familiarize ourselves with the software and brushing up on modeling techniques through helpful tutorials on YouTube.

Our first attempt at creating a video went surprisingly well. While there are areas for improvement, we opted for a simpler approach this time. Watch our video, "Fan Movie," and please share your thoughts. We appreciate your feedback for future projects!

Sounds like you're on the right track! One thing you might consider when gathering data is to double-check your response and driving point settings - it's quite common for beginners to overlook them and that can lead to inaccuracies. Also, don't forget that the proper connection of your sensors plays a crucial role in the overall quality of measurements you gather. To enhance your knowledge before the official training, you might want to explore some of the Me'Scope user case studies as they can give very helpful insights. Good luck with your modal analysis!
