Top-rated CMMS software solutions: Integrating MHM and RBMView with SAP or exploring other options

Question:

Hello everyone, I am in search of the top-rated CMMS software solutions, and I would greatly appreciate your expert feedback. Currently, we are using the MHM 5.4 version, and we are looking to integrate RBMView with our CMMS. Additionally, our plant is utilizing SAP, so I would like to hear your thoughts on the feasibility of connecting RBMView to SAP, or if it would be preferable to explore other CMMS options that work in conjunction with MHM or RBMView. Your insights will be highly valued.

I haven't personally tried it, but from my understanding, all you need to do is assign a unique number to each piece of equipment in every program. RBMView will then generate a text file that SAP can process, adding the reports to the respective machine numbers. This file should include spectra (as images only), pictures, comments, and all the data entered in the specified fields in RBMView. I recall coming across a paper related to this on the CSI website.

We too faced a similar issue, but we have since resolved it by managing it externally from SAP. As far as I know, SAP provides adapters for integration with other software systems.

Hello! From my perspective, integrating RBMView with SAP seems possible, but it could require some custom development due to the complexities of SAP interfaces. As for CMMS options, Fiix and UpKeep are both top-rated and may work seamlessly with your current systems. They both offer high flexibility and useful features. However, before deciding on any solution, I would suggest contacting the software vendors directly for more detailed compatibility advice. They’ll have the most current insight into what will work best with your specific suite of tools.

Hi there! Having worked extensively with CMMS solutions, I can share a few insights. Although MHM does a decent job, there are other software out there such as Upkeep, Fiix, or eMaint that you might want to consider as they provide strong RBMView compatibility. As for connecting RBMView with SAP, I'd suggest you to explore SAP's Plant Maintenance (PM) module first, as it seamlessly integrates with other SAP modules and may provide a more comprehensive solution. You might also need some middleware for the successful integration of RBMView with SAP, depending on your specific setup. Of course, consulting with a technical SAP consultant will give you the most granular advice. Good luck!

Hey there! I totally understand your dilemma—finding the right CMMS can be a challenge, especially with the integration needs you mentioned. If you're already using MHM 5.4, it might be worth looking into how well it integrates with RBMView before making a switch. A lot of users have had success with various APIs that facilitate SAP connections, so check if there are existing tools that bridge the gap between RBMView and SAP. If you find it limiting, consider exploring other CMMS platforms like Fiix or Maintenance Connection, which are known for their SAP compatibility. Good luck, and hope you find a solution that streamlines your processes!

Hey there! It sounds like you’re in the midst of a big transition. I've heard great things about software like Fiix and Maintenance Connection, both of which have strong integration capabilities, including with SAP systems. If you’re looking to stick with MHM, consider reaching out to their support to see if they have future integration plans for RBMView. Sometimes it’s worth looking into smaller, niche CMMS solutions that might offer better integration features for your specific needs. Good luck with your search!
