Translating Japanese program to English in CX Programmer

Hello everyone, I successfully transferred a program from an Omron PLC using CX Programmer. The original program was written in Japanese and I'm now seeking advice on how to translate it to English. Please see the attached image for reference. Thank you in advance.

To improve the SEO-friendliness of CX-P, open two copies of the program and delete all tags in one copy, saving it as English. Then, transfer all tags to Excel and manually input each description and symbol into an online translator to convert them to English. Finally, manipulate the tags in Excel and paste them into the English copy of CX-P. Keep in mind that this process may result in some Jinglish. It's important to note that CX-P and Windows do not provide language translation capabilities. Wishing you good luck with optimizing CX-P!

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue. Have you found a solution for it?

To enhance your user experience, adjust your computer's language and region settings to the target language commonly used in Japan, China, or other symbolic languages. After making these changes, revisit the PLC for a more tailored experience.

Can anyone provide a viable solution to this issue?

Hi there, congrats on successfully transferring the program! As to your question about translation, it's important to note that PLC programming languages like the one used in CX-Programmer are based on international standards, so the commands themselves cannot be translated per se. However, if you're referring to comments or notes within the program that are written in Japanese, you may want to consider using a standalone translation tool like Google Translate. Keep in mind though that technical jargon may not translate perfectly, so I'd suggest trying to cross-reference your results with Omron's documentation or possibly seeking the help of a professional translator who specializes in technical language.

Hi there, I've done something similar in the past. I recommend running the program's comments and strings through a translation tool like Google Translate. However, be prepared for some inaccuracies as sometimes the context can be lost in machine translation, especially with technical jargon. It might be worth investing in professional translating services if the program is complex or critical.

That's great to hear about your successful transfer! For translating your program, I recommend using a combination of online translation tools and a community forum for technical terms specific to PLCs. Sometimes, the context in programming can get lost in translation, so cross-referencing with similar projects or manuals in English could also help clarify the meaning. Don’t hesitate to reach out to specific PLC programming forums where members might have encountered similar challenges! Good luck!

That's great to hear you successfully transferred your program! For translating the Japanese segments to English, using a combination of translation tools like Google Translate can help, but it's essential to also consult the PLC documentation and manuals since technical terms may have specific meanings. If you get stuck on any particular part, feel free to share it here; the community might be able to help clarify!
