Trouble finding edit zones in Logix Designer despite Edits Present indicator.

Question:

I am having trouble finding edit zones within all routines despite fulfilling other criteria, as the search results show no matches. However, the "edits present" indicator still appears at the top. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Are you in possession of the complete offline software program? It is plausible that the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) may have safeguarded certain routines that they do not disclose, and one of these could contain an edit within it.

The project has been modified by another user. Are multiple terminals currently active, making adjustments?

I personally conducted a test online using two separate computers. If another user makes unauthorized edits while you are uploading or offline, you may be disconnected. Are there any other programmers on your website? Is the PLC connected to the internet?

If your search is limited to ladders, consider exploring alternative options for your project needs.

Thank you for the responses, everyone. I am currently in the process of converting a PLC 5 program to a Control Logix one while offline. This involves consolidating the operations of a PLC 5 system into a Control Logix system that is already up and running. I encountered a similar issue when I installed the last PLC, where I had trouble locating edit zones within the program despite them being present. The Find function was not functioning properly, so I had to manually scroll through to identify them.

It seems like a software glitch to me. I experienced a similar issue a few months ago in my application. Re-indexing the routines did the trick for me. Try that, it might help. Also, make sure your search parameters are correct and if the problem persists, it might be worth reaching out to customer support.

I totally get your frustration; I've encountered similar issues where the search results don't align with the edit indicators. Sometimes, it helps to clear your filters or try different keywords in your search. Also, check if there are any hidden formatting settings that might be affecting your visibility of those edit zones. It can be tricky, but a fresh approach often does the trick!
