Troubleshooting Elektronikon MK3 battery replacement and DFM4WIN errors

Question:

Hello everyone, I am encountering an issue while programming an Elektronik mk3 with DFM4WIN for the ZR425 compressor. Recently, I had to replace the dead battery and its IC (m48t02). Despite ensuring the data files were correct when using DFM4Win to download the program, I faced errors and challenges. Initially, an error message was displayed indicating a problem with downloading to the module. To troubleshoot, I directly programmed the m48t02 IC using an IC programmer, inputting "ffff" everywhere except the time and date. Subsequently, I was able to successfully download to the MAIN Module with DFM4WIN. However, when attempting to download to the SIOE Module, an error "Module does not change mode" occurred. The ICs on the SIOE module include 28c64, 28f010, and 27c256. I am unsure of the cause of this issue and whether it is related to DFM4win datafiles or a hardware problem. Should I try programming the mt48t02 with a specific ".bin" file instead of "fff"? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I appreciate the excellent job you did on replacing the battery! I've been dealing with the same issue and have been struggling to find a solution. Have you been able to successfully fix this controller?

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue as you. I am interested in obtaining the DFM4WIN software. Would you be able to share it with me so that I can test it myself? Thank you.

It seems to me like you're dealing with a complex problem. From my experience, I'd suggest double-checking whether the ICs on your SIOE module are functional and whether the data files you're using with DFM4Win are correctly configured for these ICs. The "Module does not change mode" error might suggest an issue with SIOE module or perhaps the configuration of data files for it rather than the m48t02 IC or the DFM4Win itself. Trying a specific ".bin" file instead of "ffff" could help, but only if you are certain that this file is correctly written for your specific hardware setup. It would be prudent to confirm the integrity of your other componentry and data files first.

Hey there! Sounds like a frustrating issue you're dealing with. From what I understand, it seems like you managed to overcome the first hurdle successfully programming the MAIN Module - well done on that. As far as your issues with the SIOE Module, it could be related to DFM4Win datafiles. However, it's worth checking the overall condition of your hardware too; given your earlier need to replace parts, there might be some wear and tear affecting its functionality. Regarding programming the mt48t02 with a specific ".bin" file instead of "ffff," it might be worth a shot. Just ensure you have a backup before you try adjusting anything significant. Good luck!
