Hello everyone, I'm seeking assistance with setting up a Quanitum for development purposes. The model number is 140 CPU 434 12U. However, we are encountering an error message (585 Level 4 in ProWorx) when attempting to download files to it. Is this issue related to firmware? As someone with limited experience working with Modicon products, any advice or guidance would be greatly valued.
After experimenting with it today, it appears that ProWorx 32 is having trouble with the latest firmware, incorrectly identifying the PLC as a 584. I have been searching for the Unity to Concept intermediate OS to enable me to downgrade the firmware without success. Does anyone have access to the "Unity_to_Concept_43412A_pvget16.bin" file? I have checked Schneider's website but have been unable to locate it or any other versions of it. Although I have the older firmware bin files, I am unable to find the intermediate OS required for the downgrade.
This location is currently closed. I successfully retrieved the mentioned file from Schneider Electric.
That error could potentially be a firmware-related issue, but it's not necessarily the only cause. It may also be a consequence of a communication issue between your programming device and the Quantum PLC, so it might be worth checking your connections and settings before tinkering with the firmware. The user manual for your model provides a good starting point on how to troubleshoot potential communication issues. Remember, you can also seek professional assistance if you continue to encounter this error as updating firmware can be a complicated task without the proper experience.
Hey there, it does seem like you're dealing with a firmware issue. Error 585 generally indicates a mismatch between the firmware of your Quantum CPU and the firmware version that the ProWorx software is configured to work with. I'd recommend checking the version of your CPU firmware and compare it with what's required for ProWorx. You might need to update either the CPU firmware or configure ProWorx to a compatible firmware version. Also, Modicon Support is quite helpful in such scenarios, so don't hesitate to reach out to them if you need further guidance.
