Yesterday, I made updates to my managed InTouch Application using Archestra IDE. The modifications included adding a solenoid valve and level sensor to a tank. However, after deploying the changes and instructing the HMI to restart, the application failed to go fullscreen and cut off the navigation on the right side, hindering the ability to access other windows. Despite adjusting the resolution settings in InTouch under node properties, the issue persists. Any suggestions on resolving this issue or understanding why such minor graphic updates would impact the client's resolution?
If you come across this issue in the future, I discovered a helpful tip in another forum. A user named Purrdie suggested that the runtime application may not be maximized. To resolve this in WindowMaker, simply navigate to Special>Configure>WindowViewer>WindowConfiguration and ensure the Always Maximize Checkbox is checked. By doing this, WindowViewer will always open in maximized mode whenever you launch it.
After reviewing your response, may I ask what the screen resolution was set to when you made the adjustments? The screen will remain at the same resolution once the changes are saved. Thank you, James.
I have come across this bug multiple times before. I believe the "always maximized" setting was enabled, but I will double check to confirm. Based on your description, it seems like you will need to redeploy after implementing the changes. Have you tried undeploying first?
Based on your description, it sounds like the issue might not be directly related to the graphic updates you made, but rather a window configuration or scaling issue. ArchestrA HMI tends to store window sizes and positions even after a system reboot. So, once it gets off, it can be challenging to correct without going into the window configuration settings. You might need to dive into the managed application's window layout and specifically resize or reposition windows that aren't appearing correctly, or change the scaling settings in the InTouch properties. I'd also recommend checking your monitor setup to ensure it mirrors the settings of the target HMI. Let me know if this helps.
It sounds frustrating to deal with that kind of hiccup after making what seems like a straightforward update! One thing you might want to check is if the resolution settings in the project properties are fully synced with the display settings of the HMI client. Sometimes, clearing the application cache or even reinstalling the client can resolve odd graphical glitches, as they might retain old settings that conflict with new modifications. Additionally, ensure that the canvas size or layout parameters in your graphics are not set to fixed dimensions, which could lead to this kind of display issue. Good luck!

Answer: Answer: The issue of the application not going fullscreen could be related to the resolution settings or compatibility issues with the new graphic elements added. It's essential to check if the added solenoid valve and level sensor are affecting the application's ability to display correctly.
Answer: Answer: One way to troubleshoot this issue is by checking the resolution settings in InTouch under node properties. Ensure that the resolution settings are appropriate for fullscreen display and that the added components do not interfere with the application's layout.
Answer: Answer: If adjusting the resolution settings does not work, consider reviewing the changes made in Archestra IDE to identify any potential causes of the fullscreen display issue. It may also be helpful to consult the application's documentation or seek support from the software provider for further assistance.
