Troubleshooting Logix Designer Compare Tool Upgrade: Large Tag Array Issues in Version 6.10.00

Question:

Hello everyone, I'm currently working in a regulated environment, and my client has tasked me with upgrading the Logix Designer compare tool from version 4.10.00 to version 6.10.00. During my testing with some PLC code (version 21.03) using the new version, I encountered an issue with large Tag Array Data Types, which are indicated by a red arrow. When I attempt to access this tag in version 6.10.00, the Large Tag Viewer opens but only displays a blank pop-up screen without any tag details. In contrast, when I perform the same PLC comparison in version 4.10.00, the Large Tag Viewer successfully displays the tag information. I've also identified a few differences in the parser configuration file, which I have highlighted in red in the attached document. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or insights regarding this issue. Thank you!

It appears that the issue is related to the settings of the comparison tool. There are numerous options at your disposal that can significantly influence your comparison results. Experimenting with various configurations may help you achieve the desired outcome. Additionally, consider reaching out to Rockwell Support for assistance, as their team can often provide valuable guidance.

I have thoroughly reviewed the settings between both versions, and they appear to be configured identically. However, I suspect that there might be slight variations in a configuration file located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\Logix Designer Tools\Logix Designer Compare Tool directory. Specifically, this could involve differences in the parser files.

Thank you for your assistance; however, I regret to mention that there are no troubleshooting tips available for my specific issue. I have reached out to RA support, but they were unable to provide an explanation for the problem I'm encountering. It seems that a software upgrade may be necessary to resolve this matter.
