Troubleshooting LogixPro 500: Fixing Launch Issues and Error Codes

Question:

Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well. I have an older version of the software mentioned above that I haven't used in several years. Recently, I decided to reacquaint myself with it, but when I attempt to open the program, I encounter an issue: a series of 12 hash symbols appears on the screen, and then the program abruptly closes. I originally purchased this software from the Learning Pit, and I still have the transaction ID for the purchase. I reached out to their support team for guidance, and they advised me to launch the software directly from their website. Unfortunately, when I did that, I ended up downloading a completely different version, which seems far less user-friendly than my original LogixPro 500. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has insight into why my original software won't launch and if there’s a potential fix. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! Steve

Hello everyone! I apologize for the delay in my response; I've been swamped and haven't had the chance to play. I completely forgot that I had raised this issue before—perhaps it's just getting older! In my attempts to resolve the problem, I disabled my firewall and antivirus software, but that didn’t help. Ultimately, I managed to fix the issue by completely uninstalling it from my hard drive and then reinstalling it. This approach seems to have worked wonders! Thank you all for your support; it’s truly appreciated. BING.

Hey Steve! It sounds frustrating to deal with those issues after trying to get back into the software. The hash symbols could indicate a compatibility issue, especially if you're running it on a new operating system or hardware. One thing you might try is running the software in compatibility mode if you’re on Windows—just right-click the program, select Properties, and then look for the Compatibility tab. It could also be worth checking to see if there are any updates or patches for the older version on the Learning Pit's site. Good luck, and I hope you get it sorted out soon!

Hey Steve, it sounds frustrating to deal with those issues after trying to get back into the software! The hash symbols usually indicate a compatibility problem, especially if it's an older version. Have you tried running it in compatibility mode or checking if there are any system updates you might need? Sometimes, updating Java or other dependencies can help as well. Also, if possible, maybe reach out directly to the Learning Pit support again and explain the situation with the new version—they might offer a solution or an upgrade path that retains the features you're used to. Good luck!
