Hello everyone, I encountered a major issue at a client site involving FTView SE V10 in their system. There are some missing alarms on the alarm summary screen during runtime. After backing up and restoring a similar project on my laptop, all alarms are displayed correctly. However, the alarms are not showing up on the client's PC. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Nauman_95 asked: Hello everyone, I encountered a serious issue on a client's site. They are utilizing FTView SE V10 but are experiencing missing alarms on the alarm summary screen during runtime. Interestingly, the same project, when backed up and restored on my laptop, displays all alarms correctly. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? Could there be a filter affecting the alarm window on the client's system? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Geode inquired about the presence of a filter on the Alarm window of the client system. There are currently no filters in place, but the client has since switched systems, leaving the cause of the issue unknown.
Hey, I've actually run into a similar issue before. In my case, the issue was due to differing versions of FTView SE between the client's PC and my laptop. It might be worth checking if the client's PC is running the same version of FTView SE as you are. If it's an older version, it might not fully support all the alarm features of newer versions. Another thing to look into is whether all necessary patches and updates have been installed. Hope this helps!
Hey there, I've had a similar issue before. In my case, it was a problem with the client's firewall settings - it was blocking some aspects of the software from working properly. I suggest checking the firewall or antivirus settings on their PC, and perhaps comparin them to those on your laptop where everything is working as expected. It's also possible that the client's PC is running an older version of FTView SE V10 that's causing compatibility issues. Upgrading to the newest version might help. Hope this gives you a starting point!
Hey there! It definitely sounds like a perplexing issue. The problem might not lie with FTView SE V10, but perhaps there's a discrepancy with the operating system, network settings, or firewall configurations on your client's PC, seeing as the project is running without a hitch on your laptop. Moreover, there could be differences in software versions or patches between the two computers. Also, always ensure that all the tags are correctly linked in your client's system. Hey there, I've run into a similar issue before with FTView SE V10. Since the alarms are showing up correctly on your laptop, it could possibly be a compatibility issue with the client's PC - like their OS version or settings. I'd suggest checking if their PC meets the required system specifications for FTView SE V10. Also, look into whether the application has the necessary permissions or if there's a firewall blocking it. If everything seems fine, you might want to consider reinstalling the software on the client's PC to see if that resolves the problem.
Hey! I’ve run into a similar issue before and it often boils down to configuration settings or differences in project versions. First, double-check the alarm tags and their respective condition settings on the client's system to ensure they’re properly configured. Also, make sure the alarm database is correctly linked and that there are no filters set that might be hiding them from the summary display. Sometimes, a DLL or system file could go missing or be incompatible—if all else fails, consider checking for updates or patches for FTView SE that might address this glitch. Good luck!
