Troubleshooting Mitsubishi A800 Drive Communication Issue with CompactLogix PLC

Question:

I successfully linked and configured my Mitsubishi A800 drive to a CompactLogix PLC using the A8NEIP 2P module. However, when I give the start command, the drive's start button starts flashing. The manual indicates that this is due to the frequency command not being given or being lower than the starting frequency. Do I need to adjust the parameter settings in the drive to receive the frequency command properly? How can I resolve this issue efficiently?

When controlling a drive through the network using an option card, it is essential to properly configure various parameters. Parameters such as Pr. 340 and Pr. 79 determine the Operation Mode of the drive, which should be set to NET operation mode for optimal performance. Additionally, Pr. 338 controls the Communication operation command source, while Pr. 339 manages the Communication speed command source. To select the NET mode operation command source, you will need to adjust parameter Pr. 550. For detailed information on these configurations, refer to the drive's Instruction Manual (Detailed) starting on page 404: https://www.mitsubishielectric.com/dl/fa/document/manual/inv/ib0600503eng/ib0600503engn.pdf.
