Despite the simplicity and affordability of their products, the software available is predominantly in Chinese and cannot be installed on a North American version of Windows, despite our attempts to do so. I am looking to access the configuration of this HMI as my team has acquired some used equipment, but we are being blocked by a password protection screen that seems to be unique to the application. The previous owners claim they never encountered this screen, and it appears that the password is specific to the HMI app itself. The HMI vendor has suggested installing a 'Chinese version of Windows', which they claim is different from adding a Chinese language pack to the North American version, based on our experimentation.
