Hello, I am looking to conduct a test on a scanner that is connected through RS232/ASCII on an ET200S 1SI CP card. After I downloaded the hardware configuration, I noticed that the fault LED indicators on both the PM and CP modules are active. Unfortunately, there is no diagnostic information available in the online hardware configuration. Could this issue be due to the requirement of providing 24VDC power to the PM module? I suspect that may be the root of the problem, but I am not entirely confident. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Combo
Hello, I've successfully connected the 24V power supply to pins 2 and 3 of the PM unit, and all faults have been resolved. It's unfortunate that the online hardware configuration tool doesn’t display this information. Best regards, Combo
Hi Combo, it sounds like you’re on the right track suspecting the 24VDC power for the PM module. Often, if there's insufficient power or a connection issue, it can lead to those fault LEDs lighting up. I would double-check all the power connections and ensure they’re secure. Also, if there’s a manual for the ET200S, it might provide some troubleshooting steps specific to the fault indicators. If everything looks good power-wise, it may be worth checking the wiring for any shorts or breaks, or even trying a different power supply if you have one. Good luck!
