Hello everyone, I am currently facing a Vijeo Citect SCADA Redundancy issue and I believe that some of you may have encountered a similar issue in the past. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. The problem I am facing is that the Primary Server loses communication when the Secondary Server is disconnected. This results in all servers (including Clients) going down. I have already conducted a thorough comparison of the Communication Settings, .ini configuration files, and Computer Setup editor information between the PRIMARY and SECONDARY servers but have not been able to identify any discrepancies. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this issue, I would be grateful for your help. Thank you.
Is this a recently implemented system? If not, was it operational in the past? It appears that the servers are unable to communicate with each other. Have you verified network connectivity?
tragically1969 inquired about the status of the system, noting that it was functioning well initially but has recently encountered connectivity issues between servers. Have you checked the network connectivity to resolve this issue? Despite comparing the current files and configurations with the earlier Design Backup files, no differences were found. Thank you for your help.
We are experiencing a similar issue where our primary server's hard drive crashed. We have successfully replaced it with a new HDD and reinstalled all operating systems and application software. However, after restoring the SCADA backup, we have observed frequent #BAD errors on the primary server and slower data updates compared to the secondary server. Any suggestions on how to address this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Answer: Answer: The Primary Server losing communication when the Secondary Server is disconnected could be due to a configuration issue or a setup discrepancy between the servers. It is essential to verify the redundancy settings and ensure they are correctly configured to handle failover scenarios.
