I need to reset timers whenever a Work Order is changed. The Work Order is entered as a string and compared to a tag called "Work_Order_Last". If they are not equal, the Work_Order_Change OTE turns HIGH, resetting the timers. I am looking for a way to update the Work_Order_Last tag with the new Work Order string without using the CONCAT instruction. Unfortunately, the MOV instruction does not support string values. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you for your help!

Answer: Answer: One possible solution is to use indirect addressing or indirect tag manipulation to update the "Work_Order_Last" tag with the new Work Order string without using the CONCAT instruction.
Answer: Answer: Resetting timers when the Work Order is changed ensures that the timers reflect the correct timing for the new work being performed, preventing any inconsistencies or errors in the process.
Answer: Answer: The MOV instruction in the PLC programming language may not support string values because of the limitations of the instruction set architecture or the specific programming language being used. It is important to explore alternative methods like indirect addressing for updating string tags.
